Background Publish of the SharePoint Configuration

This version of Document Central introduces a comprehensive optimization of the SharePoint publishing process for repository configurations.
When using the new standard configuration with a single subsite for the current year, the overall publishing time has been significantly reduced to approximately 20–30 minutes.

In addition, the publishing process can now be executed in the background. A dedicated publishing overview has been added to the Document Central repository configuration, providing improved transparency during execution.

Key Changes:

  • Introduction of a published state for metadata, content types, and document libraries to clearly indicate the publishing status
  • New actions on metadata, content types and document libraries to trigger publishing or review publishing issues
  • Continuous tracking of the current publishing status within the repository setup
  • New publishing wizard that can be opened after creating a SharePoint repository, guiding users step by step through the publishing process

Conversion fails when InvoiceReferencedDocument IssuerAssignedID mapping has no AttachmentBinaryObject

Description: Resolved an issue in the XSD-based conversion of UBL/Peppol CrossIndustryInvoice documents where the system incorrectly attempted to extract an AttachmentBinaryObject for InvoiceReferencedDocument nodes without an associated XML attachment. The conversion logic was updated to correctly handle mappings that do not include embedded PDF or binary content.

Impact: Users can now successfully generate XML output for affected InvoiceReferencedDocument nodes without requiring an embedded PDF or AttachmentBinaryObject. This prevents runtime conversion errors, ensures compliance with the UBL schema, and improves the reliability of the dispatch process.

Test license cannot activate Document Central features (DC for BC)

Description: Resolved an issue where Document Central features could not be activated using a test or trial license. The activation logic and messaging were updated to allow appropriate feature activation during trial periods and to clearly indicate any license-based limitations.

User deactivation not consistently synchronized across companies and PLMs

Description: Resolved an issue where deactivating a user in one company could incorrectly deactivate the user across all PLMs while leaving them active in Document Central. The user status synchronization logic has been corrected to ensure deactivation is applied only to the intended company.

Impact: User activation and deactivation are now consistently and accurately reflected per company across PLMs and Document Central, preventing unintended global deactivations and ensuring reliable user access control in multi-company configurations.

User does not receive administrator permissions

Description: Resolved an issue where enabling the "Administrator" switch on the Document Central User Page did not grant the user admin permissions as expected. This fix ensures that users receive the appropriate permissions when the toggle switch is enabled.

Impact: Users will now correctly receive administrator permissions when the "Administrator" switch is enabled, improving the accuracy and reliability of user role assignments in the system. some pdf documents get not displayed in the document preview or "show document"

Description: Implemented a fix to prevent the document preview and "show document" mode from loading indefinitely when encountering a corrupted PDF document. The preview will now display an error message when such documents are uploaded. This change acknowledges that while modern browsers can repair and display corrupted PDFs, our preview system will not attempt to correct these issues.

Impact: Users will no longer experience endless loading when previewing corrupted PDF documents. Instead, they will receive a clear error message, improving transparency and user experience. This ensures that users are aware of document integrity issues without assuming the system is unresponsive.

Obsolete fields status = pending not visible

Description: Resolved an issue where users were unable to select fields with a 'pending' status in the Business Portals environment when configuring datasets or using a Sales configuration. This change ensures that 'pending' fields, which are slated for future removal but are still currently valid, can now be selected as intended.

Modern Preview Optimizations

This update includes essential adjustments for the upcoming ModernPreview changes in extensions. Enhancements feature performance improvements via an integrated cache, effective during preview actions, reduced API communications, and fully asynchronous processes to prevent blockages. Zooming behavior, especially with mousepads, has been significantly improved, and there are visual adjustments. A 10 MB file now loads in the Modern Preview in about 3-4 seconds compared to 13 seconds in the legacy preview, representing a performance improvement of 325% - 400%.
