Download Type Report

In the Business Portal, a download action can be configured that allows documents such as orders, invoices, or other relevant documents to be downloaded directly. This feature provides a user-friendly way to quickly and systematically export provided content. The action can be flexibly integrated into various areas of the portal and supports efficient delivery of business-relevant documents to the end user.

Setting Up the Download Action for Reports

To set up the download action for reports, follow these steps:

  1. Open the dataset through the menu under Portal Setup while you are in the Business Portal role center.
  2. Select the dataset, e.g., invoices, for which you want to configure a download.
  3. Click on Actions in the menu bar of the dataset table.
  4. Open the drop-down menu by clicking the arrow in the Action Code field.
  5. Click on +New to create a new action code.
  6. Assign a unique action code, e.g., Download-Invoice or D-Invoice.
  7. Enter a note in the Description field indicating what you are configuring the action code for.
  8. Select a type, e.g., Report, if you want to allow your customers to download invoices in the portal.
  9. If you want to enable the downloading of invoices, enter the report ID 1306 in the field.
  10. Scroll all the way to the right using the horizontal scroll bar in the table to find the Size column. Select Large here.
  11. Close the window.
  12. Select or create a new description, e.g., Download.
  13. The download function should now be available in the Invoices area, provided you have set up the download for this area.

Setting Up the File Name

If you have already set up a download action, you have the option to assign a custom file name to the downloaded report.

  1. Select the dataset in which you have configured a download action.
  2. By clicking on Actions in the dataset table, you can open the actions of the corresponding dataset.
  3. Select the Download Action and open the settings on the right side. Click on Placeholders.
  4. Decide what you want to display in the file name.
  5. With the checkbox Fill with Date, today's date will automatically be included in the file name.
  6. Close the page and reopen the drop-down menu in the settings. Click on Edit.
  7. Navigate to Reports.
  8. In the Report File Name field, click on the three dots.
  9. Create a new label using the placeholders you selected. Separate the placeholders with spaces.
  10. Select the label you created.

Setting Up the Download Action for Reports in the Overview

The download action can be configured not only in the detail area but also directly in the overview.

Follow these steps to set up the download action in the overview:

  1. Select the dataset in which you have configured a download action.
  2. By clicking on Actions in the dataset table, you can open the actions of the corresponding dataset.
  3. Open the settings in the fact box on the right side and click on Edit.
  4. In the General section, you can enable the option Show in Overview.

Customizing the Download Button

The download button can be visually customized to better fit the user interface or corporate design. Properties such as size, background color, and font color can be individually configured, making the button not only functional but also visually appealing.

  1. Select the dataset in which you have configured a download action.
  2. By clicking on Actions in the dataset table, you can open the actions of the corresponding dataset.
  3. Open the settings in the fact box on the right side and click on Edit.
  4. In the General section, you can select predefined customization options by clicking on the three dots next to CSS Class.
  5. Close the page.
  6. The customizations you selected will be automatically applied to the field.

Attention

Any number of customizations can be selected as long as they can be sensibly combined. Ensure that the chosen options do not contradict each other or impair readability.
