Setting Up App Captions

With app captions, you can customize the texts displayed to users in the Business Portals app. The setup is done in the normal caption setup of the Business Portals, where the App Captions section is also available.

The captions are displayed in the language set for the user or the portal. Therefore, set up the required languages before maintaining the captions.

Open App Captions

  1. Open the role center Business Portals Admin.
  2. Select Portal Setup and open the desired dataset.
  3. Open the Captions section.
  4. Navigate to the App section.

Adopt Default Captions

Default captions are available for the Business Portals app. These can be used as a starting point for configuration and adjusted as needed.

  1. Open the role center Business Portals Admin.
  2. Click on Portal Setup.
  3. Open the desired dataset.
  4. Select Actions and perform the Fill from Default Dataset action.
  5. Open the Captions section.
  6. Navigate to the App section.
  7. Review and adjust the captions as needed.

Note

Preferably adopt the default captions at the beginning of the setup. Check existing manually maintained captions before executing the action.

Manually Maintain Captions

You can manually create app captions or adjust existing captions. The texts will be displayed in the Business Portals app according to the selected language.

  1. Open the role center Business Portals Admin.
  2. Click on Portal Setup.
  3. Open the desired dataset.
  4. Open the Captions section.
  5. Navigate to the App section.
  6. Select the caption you want to edit.
  7. Enter the desired text for each configured language.

To ensure users see understandable texts in every language, maintain the caption for all used language codes. The chosen texts should be short and clear, as they will be displayed on mobile devices.
