Setting Up the Business Portals App

In the App Settings of the Business Portals module setup, you define the basic presentation of the mobile app view. This includes enabling the app view, positioning the portal logo, and greeting users.

Note

The app settings described on this page apply only to Business Portals App versions prior to 2.0.0. From version 2.0.0 onwards, these settings are no longer used.

Open App Settings

  1. Open the Business Portals Admin role center.
  2. Click on Setup to open the Module Setup.
  3. Open the App Settings section.

Available Options

Option Description
Enable App View Activates the app view of the Business Portal optimized for smartphones and tablets.
Portal Logo Positioning Determines where the portal logo is displayed in the app view.
Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening Defines the greeting displayed based on the time of day.
Username in Greeting Specifies whether the name of the logged-in user is automatically included in the greeting.

Enable App View

The app view is optimized for use on mobile devices and can also be used in a mobile browser.

  1. Open the App Settings as described above.
  2. Toggle the Enable App View switch.

Through logo positioning, you can adjust the display of the portal logo to your desired appearance in the app view.

  1. Open the App Settings.
  2. Select the desired position from the dropdown menu next to Portal Logo Positioning.

Configure Welcome Message

For each time of day, you can set a custom greeting. When the app view is opened, the greeting appropriate for the current time of day will be displayed automatically.

  1. Open the App Settings.
  2. Enter the desired texts for Good Morning, Good Afternoon, and Good Evening.
  3. Enable the option to insert the username if the name of the logged-in user should appear in the greeting.
