Tile

With the Element Type Tile, you can display the number of records contained in a dataset table and also jump directly to the detail view. If you have enabled the Mark as Unread option for the selected dataset table, you can also directly see how many records have been read.

Configuring a Tile

To configure a tile, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the search icon in the upper right corner .
  2. Search for Business Portals - Datasets and open the page.
  3. Select the dataset for which you want to configure the element.
  4. Perform the Dashboard Groups action on the newly opened dataset page.
  5. Create a new row or select an existing row. For more information on setting up a dashboard, see this documentation.
  6. To assign the tile type to the element, select it via the Element View Style field.
  7. To assign a dataset, select a dataset via the Dataset Table Code field. If none are visible, read this documentation on setting up dataset tables.
  8. On the page, there is a facts box named Web Content. If it is not visible, click on the info icon in the upper right corner.
  9. Perform the action to edit the facts box.
  10. Here you can define all properties of your tile.

Metadata for Tiles

In the General section, you can define the basic properties of the tile:

  • Caption: Specifies the title of the tile.
  • Subtitle: Specifies the subtitle of the tile.
  • CSS Class - Content: Specifies a custom CSS class for formatting the content.
  • CSS Class - Header: Specifies a custom CSS class for formatting the header.
