News

The style type News is based on a dataset that is linked to the News table and subsequently connected to a dashboard of type News.

The news is managed in Business Central. There, headlines, categories, and body text can be recorded. The created content is then displayed in the Business Portals in the news section and is visible to the web user.

Follow these steps to set up a news section:

  1. Select the desired dataset in the dataset table or create a new dataset.
  2. Assign a unique dataset table code.
  3. In the Table column, select the table 5163572 (SIM_DPS News) to establish a link to this table.
  4. The news section does not require any further setup in the Web Content area.
  5. Open the field list in the tables area. Here you need to select the corresponding fields from the News table that you specified earlier.
  6. Select the fields Title and Content. These fields will be used in the further setup of the dashboard. Alternatively, you can also select all fields and decide individually during the dashboard setup which information should actually be displayed.
