How to create a Data mapping
The data mapping is needed for the connection between the purchase document and the vendor / business partner where you need the validation of the certificate of exemption. The following steps need to be completed to create a new standard data mapping:
The way to the Data mapping
- Use the search bar to open the Vendor card.
- Navigate to the Bau13b factbox.
- Click on Set up.
- The Modul setup card opens.
- Click on Document record in the menu bar.
- The Document record card opens.
- Navigate to Data mapping column.
- Click on the DropDown action.
- click on New
- The Data mapping card opens.
The creation of the Data mapping
- Enter a Code.
- Select the Table for the document type.
- Enter a Description.
- Navigate to the lines.
- Navigate to the Type column.
- Select the type Field.
- Navigate to the Destination table column.
- Enter the Destination table.
- Navigate to the Destination field column.
- Enter the Destination field to make an unique match on the Source table.
- Navigate to the Source table column.
- Enter the Source table (For example: Vendor oder Business partner).
- Navigate to the Source field column.
- Enter the Source field to make an unique match on the Destination table.
- Switch to the next line.
- Navigate to the Source table column.
- Enter the Source table (The same as the line before).
- Navigate to the Type column.
- Select the type Return.
Data mapping test
After you create a data mapping, you can test the data mapping before using it.
- Navigate to the menu bar in the Data mapping card.
- Click on Check Data mapping.
- Select a document from the list.
- Confirm with OK.
