Setting Up Languages

The Business Portals module allows users to set up multiple languages for the web portal. This feature enables users to view the portal in their preferred language. The language settings can be configured by the Business Central user.

Creating a New Language

To create a new language, follow these steps:

  1. In the Business Portals role center page, click on the Portal Setup in the ribbon bar.
  2. Navigate to the Languages.
  3. Click on the New button to create a new language.
  4. Fill the language code by using the dropdown list, and choose the desired language.
  5. Fill the Caption for the language by choosing from the caption list. The captions will be used to translate the web portal into the selected language. For more info on setting up captions, see Caption Setup.

Language Purposes

The languages configured in the Languages section of Business Portals will be the ones available for web portal users. Captions will then need to be created based on the languages configured.
