Download

With the element type Download, users can be provided with documents directly in the app for download. The documents are provided through the connected Document Central and are loaded based on a configured Content Type. Downloads are suitable for forms, instructions, product information, contracts, or other documents that should be available to users at any time.

Configuring a Download

To configure a download, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the search icon for Global Search in the upper right corner.
  2. Search for Business Portals - Datasets and open the page.
  3. Select the dataset for which you want to configure the download.
  4. Click on Mobile Dashboard Group in the menu bar after opening the dataset.
  5. Create a new row or select an existing row of type Element.
  6. In the Element View Style field, select the type Download.
  7. Open the detail view via the FactBox.
  8. Define the desired properties for the download.
  9. Publish the changes to make the download available in the app.

Tip

To use the element type Download, the connector Document Central for Portals must be present in the environment.

Download Settings

In the Download section, you can configure the following properties:

  • Label: Defines the text that will be displayed for the download in the dashboard.

  • Content Type: Defines the Content Type from the connected Document Central. The documents of the selected Content Type will be made available to users in the app for download.

Display in the App

The download is displayed in the app as a download tile. When selected, the documents of the configured Content Type are loaded from the connected Document Central. Users can then download the documents and open them on their device.
