Number transformation
Phone Connect offers a feature to correctly convert phone numbers stored in the Business Central environment. Unwanted special characters are removed, and the phone numbers are consistently formatted.
Configuration
To perform the number conversion, the following steps must be executed:
- Navigate to the Phone Connect - Module Setup.
- In the module setup, select the action Number Substitution.
- On the Number Substitution page, you can define the special characters that should be transformed.
- Phone Connect provides standard trim values for the transformation of phone numbers.
- After completing the configuration, return to the Phone Connect - Module Setup and execute the Trim Phone Numbers function from the menu bar.
Important
The value "DEL" is used to delete the character from the phone number. Spaces are automatically removed from the phone number.

The following values are predefined for number conversion after completing the Checklist in the Admin Role Center:

Example
If the left value is filled with + and the right value is filled with 00, the phone number +49 123 456 is converted to 0049 123 456.
