Setting Up a Codeunit Dispatch Profile Attachment

In Document Dispatch, it is possible to add individual documents to the dispatch profile. To enable the use of the Codeunit dispatch profile attachment, a Codeunit must be programmed. This enables the attachment type "Codeunit." An example of how this can be done is available here: Codeunit Example.

Steps to Set Up a Codeunit Attachment Type

Follow these steps to set up a Codeunit dispatch profile attachment:

  1. Begin in the Document Dispatch - Administrator role.
  2. Open Dispatch Profiles from the Setup menu in the ribbon bar and select Dispatch Profiles.
  3. Choose the Dispatch Profile where the Codeunit attachment will be defined.
  4. Add a new line in Dispatch Profile Attachment and select the attachment type "Codeunit."
  5. In the Object field, use the lookup to select the desired Codeunit.
  6. Click on the Options action in the ribbon bar.
  7. In the Field Caption field, enter and select the desired file caption.

Using the Basic PDF Attachment Configuration for Codeunit Attachments

To use the Basic PDF Attachment Configuration for Codeunit attachment types, it is necessary to define the documents as PDF files.

Steps to Define the Attachment as a PDF File

Follow these steps to configure the attachment type as a PDF file:

  1. Begin in the Document Dispatch - Administrator role.
  2. Open Dispatch Profiles from the Setup menu in the ribbon bar and select Dispatch Profiles.
  3. Choose the Dispatch Profile where the Codeunit attachment will be set.
  4. Add a new line in Dispatch Profile Attachment and select the attachment type "Codeunit."
  5. Click on the Options action in the ribbon bar.
  6. Choose the type PDF or PDFA3.

Steps to Define a Watermark for the PDF File

Follow these steps to add a watermark to the PDF file:

  1. Begin in the Document Dispatch - Administrator role.
  2. Open Dispatch Profiles from the Setup menu in the ribbon bar and select Dispatch Profiles.
  3. Choose the Dispatch Profile where the Codeunit attachment will be set.
  4. Add a new line in Dispatch Profile Attachment and select the attachment type "Codeunit."
  5. Click on the Options action in the ribbon bar.
  6. Execute the Import PDF Watermark action in the ribbon bar.
  7. Select the desired watermark file.
  8. In the Watermark Addition field, select the appropriate watermark addition.

Steps to Define Stationery for the PDF File

Follow these steps to define stationery for the PDF file:

  1. Begin in the Document Dispatch - Administrator role.
  2. Open Dispatch Profiles from the Setup menu in the ribbon bar and select Dispatch Profiles.
  3. Choose the Dispatch Profile where the Codeunit attachment will be set.
  4. Add a new line in Dispatch Profile Attachment and select the attachment type "Codeunit."
  5. Click on the Options action in the ribbon bar.
  6. Execute the Import PDF Stationery action in the ribbon bar.
  7. Select the desired stationery file.
  8. In the Stationery Addition field, select the appropriate stationery addition.

Steps to Configure PDF/A-3 Conversion

Follow these steps to configure the PDF/A-3 conversion:

  1. Begin in the Document Dispatch - Administrator role.
  2. Open Dispatch Profiles from the Setup menu in the ribbon bar and select Dispatch Profiles.
  3. Choose the Dispatch Profile where the Codeunit attachment will be set.
  4. Add a new line in Dispatch Profile Attachment and select the attachment type "Codeunit."
  5. Click on the Options action in the ribbon bar.
  6. In the Codeunit PDF Type field, select PDF/A-3.

Steps to Add an XSD Attachment to the PDF File

Follow these steps to add an XSD attachment to the PDF file:

  1. Begin in the Document Dispatch - Administrator role.
  2. Open Dispatch Profiles from the Setup menu in the ribbon bar and select Dispatch Profiles.
  3. Choose the Dispatch Profile where the Codeunit attachment will be set.
  4. Add a new line in Dispatch Profile Attachment and select the attachment type "Codeunit."
  5. Click on the Options action in the ribbon bar.
  6. In the Codeunit PDF Type field, select PDF/A-3.
  7. Navigate to the PDF/A-3 Register.
  8. Choose the attachment type XSD.
  9. Set the Filename to factur-x.xml.
  10. In the Description field, define the XSD schema for ZUGFeRD.
