Setting Up the Form Link Action
The Form Link action is used to link a dataset to a form. It serves as the jump-off point from which users can navigate from the current dataset to another form. This connection is necessary to enable targeted redirection and to further process or display content based on the form.
Follow these steps to set up a Form Link:
- Log in as a Business Portals administrator in the Role Center.
- Open the dataset through the menu by selecting Portal Setup and clicking on Dataset. Alternatively, you can find the Business Portals dataset using the search function.
- An overview of the available datasets will be displayed.
- Select the dataset that should be linked to a form.
- Click on Actions in the dataset table menu.
- Create a new action by clicking on Action Code. A dropdown menu will open, where you can click on +New.
- Select the type Form Link.
- Close the window.
- Now select an existing label or create a new, appropriate label.
- You can determine the size of the button by choosing between Small or Large.
