Barcode Factbox

Experience barcode generation and assignment within Business Central with Document Inbound. Barcode Label Creation

The following steps need to be completed to create barcode labels.

  1. Start in the Document Inbound - Administrator role.
  2. Navigate to a mapping e.g. Posted Sales Invoices.
  3. Click on the Barcode Factbox to open the dropdown menu.
  4. Select Create Barcode.
  5. Select the content type that you want to assign to the barcode.
  6. Click on OK to confirm the settings.
  7. The barcode label is created and can be printed.

Info

To perform the barcode label creation, the option Activate Barcode Label Printing must be enabled in the barcode factbox settings.

Reprinting a Barcode

It is also possible to reprint a selected barcode in the factbox. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. In the Barcode Factbox, select an already created barcode.
  2. Click on the Barcode Factbox to open the dropdown menu.
  3. Click on the Reprint Barcode action.
  4. The selected barcode will be reprinted as needed.

Barcode Label Assignment

The following steps need to be completed to assign external barcode labels.

  1. Start in the Document Inbound - Administrator role.
  2. Navigate to a mapping e.g. Posted Sales Invoices.
  3. Click on the Barcode Factbox to open the dropdown menu.
  4. Select Assign Barcode or use the hotkeys Ctrl+B to assign the barcode.
  5. Enter a barcode number in the Barcode field for the assignment process for the documents / splitted documents in the inbound list.
  6. Click on "OK" to confirm and assign the barcode.
  7. Select the content type that you want to assign to the barcode.
  8. Click on OK to confirm the settings.
  9. The external barcode label is now assigned can be used for the assignment process via the inbound list.

To use the automatic pre-selection feature, a content type must be entered in the "Barcode Standard Selection" in the barcode factbox settings.
