EDS Factbox

EDS by Simova can be implemented and activated very quickly. This allows a quick return on investment to be generated. DVS by Simova offers a high level of customisation via configuration. Many areas can be customised and processes can be controlled with a setup. But the aim of Simova products is that the start-up is very easy and fast. The factbox is implemmented directly in your Business Central process on the right side and is this available to the user without any big extra tours.

The following steps need to be performed to get started quickly with EDS by Simova.

To See
First step is to install the EDS by Simova extension from marketplace. Install from Extension Marketplace
Second step is to activate the license and assign the license to the users. License activation and assignment
Third step is to import a default configuration for the areas in Business Central where EDS by Simova is implemented. Configuration Wizard

Structure

The EDS Factbox is designed to be very simple and clear. The focus is on the usability. You will find several categories:

  1. Active
  2. Electronic Document
  3. Dynamic Table Setup
  4. Sent
  5. Pending
  6. Scheduled
  7. Cancelled
  8. Confirm
  9. Error
  10. Last Entry Date
  11. Last Send Date
  12. Comments

In addition, pre-configured documents or documents with personalized emails can be sent to business partners. A dispatch can be scheduled and business partners can be set up/viewed/configured by using the drilldown function.

Functionalities

The user can access several functions.

  1. View Active Business Partner: The user can see if a business partner is set up and active. If no business partner is configured, it can also be set up via EDS Factbox.
  2. Send Documents: The user can send documents to the business partner that are already pre-configured or documents with personalizable email.
  3. View the Statuses: The user can also view all the statuses of the documents that were sent via EDS Factbox to know the current status. It is also possible to see if there are comments, as well as the date of the last entry or the date when a document was last sent. (Existing statuses are "Sent", "Pending", "Scheduled", "Cancelled", "Confirm", "Error")
