Tray Setup

The CTI Tray App is a self-contained application that can also be run independently from Business Central Client. For retrieving data of a contact person, the CTI Tray app communicates with the web service of Business Central Server. Telephony events are captured via a TAPI interface for Business Central.

Steps to setup the CTI Tray App

  1. Navigate to the lower right corner of your monitor. Here you can see a small CTI Icon image.
  2. In the register tab General, define the desired Language of the CTI Tray and choose your interface. Furthermore the used Render Mode for the Business Central environment needs to be chosen.
  3. Additionally activate the Autostart Option, to enable the CTI Tray to start automatically when booting.
  4. In the register card Window you can choose the desired position of the CTI Tray on your monitor.
  5. In the register card Webservice you can define the relevant parameters for the communication with the web service of Business Central.
  6. In the register card RTC you can define the relevant parameters for the call up of Business Central Client.

  8. In the case of TAPI the TAPI Line of the user needs to be chosen.

Info

The listing of the TAPI Line depending on the line name can be activated or deactivated via the option TAPI by Name. By default this option is deactivated as the lines are listed depending on their TAPI ID. If the dropdownfield Line for a correctly configured TAPI driver does not display any Lines, this option can help.
