Setting up Compliance

DMS by Simova can be configured by yourself to be a fully compliant document management system. The purpose of compliance is to adhere to internal policies and procedures as well as government laws. Implementing compliance procedures protects your company's reputation, enhances your company's vision and value, and prevents and detects violations.

In order to set up compliance the DMS utilizes a feature called retention labels.

What are Retention Labels?

Retention labels are a feature that allows us to manage and apply retention policies to the documents. A retention label can be applied to a document, similar to a tag, to enforce a retention policy. The labels can be applied manually by a user or automatically based on certain conditions.
