Our DMS solution helps you by automatically archiving receipts such as invoices and offers from Dynamics 365 Business Central. The direct integration in Business Central makes document filing and document access much easier for your employees, as you can do all of this with the Simova DMS directly within your familiar interface!

You can also easily store external documents such as e-mails, pictures and correspondence with customers and suppliers in a process. And thanks to metadata (descriptive keywords), all data can be found in seconds.

User-friendly document storage via drag & drop in the Business Central interface or by selecting the document via the file browser.

Extensive sorting and filter functions in the document overview of the DMS enable the documents to be sorted according to criteria such as by year, document type or storing user. The individual columns can be searched for directly and filter options can be set.

Classification of documents

Documents are classified when they are stored using so-called content types and metadata is automatically recorded to match the process, can be added manually or suggested dynamically as a selection list using configuration.

A comprehensive document search integrated in Business Central enables searches using metadata and document classification. Metadata can be used to find documents in the system quickly and easily. You can use the search mask to jump directly to the linked document.

Fully integrated document preview

Display the document preview directly in Business Central. You will get previews for many file formats like:

  • Word documents (.docx)
  • Excel documents (.xlsx)
  • PDF documents (.pdf)
  • and more.

Configuration of revision security directly in Business Central

With DMS by Simova, the so-called retention labels from the Azure Compliance Center, which determine the retention period of documents, can be managed in Business Central and assigned to specific content types and document libraries by default.

Document return using QR code, barcode or file name

Documents can be returned using barcode labels, directly printed barcodes or QR codes via incoming lists. A return is also possible with metadata in the file name. The return can take place automatically or by visual inspection in the incoming list. Barcodes generated from Business Central are acknowledged when they are returned.

Automatic archiving of generated reports by shadow printing in PDF/A

If reports are printed by users, a PDF in PDF/A format can be automatically stored in the archive in the background. The shadow printing can also be activated by events in a document conversion / booking.

This eliminates the need to manually convert and store the documents.

Connection made easy - easily connect SharePoint Online or Azure Blob Storage

Documents can be stored in different repositories. DMS by Simova offers a direct connection to SharePoint Online and Azure Blob Storage.

Both can be created directly from the Business Central interface using our innovative repository wizard and connected to DMS by Simova. All you need is either the SharePoint licenses or the Azure subscription.

Easy authentication via OAuth 2.0

What was previously always associated with a lot of effort and manual activities is now possible at the push of a button!

The app registration, which enables authentication via the current Microsoft account, can be created with just a single click of a button during the initial setup of DMS. After approval by the Azure administrator, the user can log in directly to the repository, store and view documents.

Standard interface to DPS & EDS

In order to guarantee you an optimal flow of information and data, we have developed the extensions DMS to DPS and DMS to EDS, which connect our systems with one another.

Simply transfer the data from your document management system to the DPS portal solution, for example, to make files available for download directly from a web portal - directly from Business Central.

Send documents from your DMS easily and automatically with our EDS solution, create intelligent rules for sending - also directly in Business Central.
