Create email Mapping
Relevant email information can be automatically transferred from Outlook as metadata if emails are saved from Outlook to the DMS by Simova using drag & drop. This includes the email addresses and the subject.
Create email mapping
The following steps need to be completed to create the email mapping.
- Navigate through the DMS by Simova - Administrator role center.
- Click on Mapping in the ribbon bar and execute the action Email Mapping.
- Specify the email mapping code by entering a code in the Code field.
- Select the content type in the Content Type Name field.
- Select the metadata for the sender name in the Sender Field field.
- Select the metadata for the sender email in the Sender Email Field field.
- Select the metadata for the recipients in the Recipients Field field.
- Select the metadata for the carbon copy information in the Carbon Copy Field field.
- Select the metadata for the subject in the Subject Field field.
Assign the email mapping
The following steps need to be completed to assign the email mapping.
- Navigate through the DMS by Simova - Administrator role center.
- Click on Mapping in the ribbon bar and execute the action Mappings.
- Click on the mapping Code that should be configured with the email mapping.
- Select the created email mapping in the Email Mapping Code field.
- The email mapping metadata will be automatically saved for this mapping in case of an email drag & drop.
