How to create a Data mapping

The data mapping is needed for the connection between the purchase document and the vendor / business partner where you need the validation of the certificate of exemption. The following steps need to be completed to create a new standard data mapping:

The way to the Data mapping

  1. Use the search bar to open the Vendor card.
  2. Navigate to the Bau13b by Simova factbox.
  3. Click on Set up.
  4. The Modul setup card opens.
  5. Click on Document record in the menu bar.
  6. The Document record card opens.
  7. Navigate to Data mapping column.
  8. Click on the DropDown action.
  9. click on New
  10. The Data mapping card opens.

The creation of the Data mapping

  1. Enter a Code.
  2. Select the Table for the document type.
  3. Enter a Description.
  4. Navigate to the lines.
  5. Navigate to the Type column.
  6. Select the type Field.
  7. Navigate to the Destination table column.
  8. Enter the Destination table.
  9. Navigate to the Destination field column.
  10. Enter the Destination field to make an unique match on the Source table.
  11. Navigate to the Source table column.
  12. Enter the Source table (For example: Vendor oder Business partner).
  13. Navigate to the Source field column.
  14. Enter the Source field to make an unique match on the Destination table.
  15. Switch to the next line.
  16. Navigate to the Source table column.
  17. Enter the Source table (The same as the line before).
  18. Navigate to the Type column.
  19. Select the type Return.

Data mapping test

After you create a data mapping, you can test the data mapping before using it.

  1. Navigate to the menu bar in the Data mapping card.
  2. Click on Check Data mapping.
  3. Select a document from the list.
  4. Confirm with OK.
