Smaller improvements

Add log to view the XSD Schema validation error#14724

Description: The validation process for eDocuments has been improved so that the reason for validation errors is now shown directly in the validation result. Previously, validation errors were only available via a downloaded XML file. With this change, validation errors can be displayed directly in eDocuments.

Impact: Thanks to this improvement, eDocuments users can quickly access and review validation errors without having to download and review XML files. This optimises error tracking and improves the efficiency of eDocuments management, resulting in faster troubleshooting and resolution of validation issues.

Performance optimization for new UBL Schema#19510

Description: Improved the performance of the new UBL schema to optimize the “Update Schema Lines” action, reducing processing time and enhancing overall responsiveness.

Impact: Users experience faster execution when updating schema lines, leading to improved efficiency and a smoother workflow without changes to existing functionality.

XML Schema Configuration does not support XSD element sequence ordering, causing invalid CII output (validation issues)#18632

Description: Introduced a configurable sequence field for SIM_XSD Schema Data Type lines and updated XML generation logic to respect this sequence when serializing child elements. This enables precise control of XML element ordering to comply with strict XSD schemas such as ZUGFeRD 2.4 / EN16931 CII.

Support XML Elements Without a Namespace in eDocuments XSD Configuration#19402

Description: Enhanced the eDocuments XSD/XML generation to support elements configured with an empty namespace. When no namespace is defined for an element in the XSD configuration, the XML output now correctly generates the element without a namespace prefix, while existing namespace-based configurations continue to behave unchanged.

Support Node-Specific Namespace Configuration in eDocuments XSD Output#19403

Description: Introduced node-specific namespace configuration in eDocuments XSD/XML generation. Administrators can now assign individual namespaces to each XML node, ensuring that child elements no longer inherit the parent’s namespace when they belong to a different schema.

Add Recursive Complex Type Detection and Configurable Expansion Depth in eDocuments XSD#19404

Description: Introduced automatic detection of recursive XSD complex type relationships in the eDocuments XSD generator and added configurable expansion depth per relationship path. This removes the need for manual L1/L2/L3 level configuration and enables safe generation of recursive XML schemas such as UBL without creating endless structures.

Fixed and improved

eDocuments – Update Schema Lines duplicates existing nodes without any changes to the schema#20030

Description: Fixed an issue where updating copied ZUGFeRD, Factur-X, or XRechnung schemas without changes created duplicate nodes and invalid schema structures.

Impact: Schema nodes, cardinalities, mappings, and configurations now remain unchanged when no updates are required. Repeated use of Update Schema Lines no longer creates unnecessary duplicates.

“Schemas” search result opens non-editable page instead of eDocuments Schema#19749

Description: Corrected the Business Central search navigation for schema management so that the “Schemas” entry now opens the same editable eDocuments – Schema page as the “eDocuments – Schema” entry, ensuring consistent access to schema setup and maintenance.

Impact: Users can now reliably create, edit, and manage schemas from any schema-related search entry point, eliminating confusion caused by inconsistent pages and improving overall usability in the schema configuration area.

eDocuments – Copy Node does not copy configured attributes#19546

Description: Fixed an issue in Business Central eDocuments - Schema where using the Copy Node action did not copy configured attributes. The change ensures that when a node is copied, all attributes on the selected node and on all contained child and nested nodes are correctly duplicated.

Impact: Users can now reliably duplicate XML/XSD schema structures without losing attribute configurations, improving data consistency and reducing manual reconfiguration effort when copying complex node hierarchies.

Show Required Lines Does Not Display Required Nodes for JSON Schemas#19456

Description: Resolved an issue where the "Show Required Lines" action on JSON Schemas in the XSD Schemas page did not display any nodes, unlike other schema types. The logic for determining and displaying required nodes in JSON Schemas has been corrected to ensure consistent behavior across schema types.

Impact: Document Dispatch Administrators can now reliably use "Show Required Lines" for JSON Schemas to view only the nodes required for a valid JSON output. This improves usability and consistency when configuring schemas and reduces the risk of misconfiguration due to missing required nodes.

Schmea Search can now find BT-X field in Json configuration#19088

Description: Resolved an issue where searching for specific schema nodes (e.g., "BT-2") in the "Schema Data Search" field on the Schema Card page did not return any results. The search functionality has been corrected to properly locate and display matching nodes.

Impact: Users can now reliably find and view schema nodes using the Schema Data Search on the Schema Card page, improving usability and ensuring expected search results are displayed.

XML export for eDocuments includes BOM and causes Errors#16775

Description: Resolved an issue where XML exports in eDocuments were generated with a BOM (Byte Order Mark) when using the Test Output action. The export format has been corrected to ensure it is UTF-8 without BOM, preventing related issues.

Impact: This change ensures that XML exports will no longer include BOM, which resolves compatibility problems and enhances the interoperability of exported documents with other systems and applications. Users can now perform XML exports without encountering BOM-related issues.

Schema Line Update Deletes Configured Data#16793

Description: Resolved an issue in the eDocument module where executing the "Update Schema Lines" action in the eDocument Schema would incorrectly delete configured information. This fix ensures that updating schema lines no longer results in the loss of existing data.

Impact: Users can now update schema lines without the risk of losing previously configured information, enhancing data integrity and reliability within the eDocument module.

Issues when using a Codeunit in a Data Mapping (Source code return)#16960

Description: The bug fix addresses an issue where lines in the XSD XML were not calculated correctly, causing changes to the temporary table to be ignored. This correction ensures that the lines are returned as expected during the filtering process in the Table Mapping configuration.

Impact: This change resolves the issue of incorrect line calculations in the XSD XML, ensuring accurate data processing and improved reliability of the Table Mapping feature. Users will experience correct filtering of lines, enhancing the overall functionality and performance of the system. There are no anticipated side effects from this fix.

Perfomance Issue#16974

Description:
A performance issue occurred during eDocuments sending, particularly when processing multiple entries containing many large elements. In such scenarios, the sending process took significantly longer than acceptable. This issue has been resolved. The transmission of 40 XML files no longer requires excessive processing time.

Impact:
eDocuments sending performance has been substantially improved. Large batches with large elements are now processed within a reasonable timeframe.

Incorrect XSD Line Mapping Returns Header Field When No Line Is Determined#17040

Description: Resolved an issue in Codeunit 5492702 – SIM_XSD Schema Mgt where the system incorrectly returned a header field when no valid line was determined during the data mapping process. The Codeunit now explicitly handles empty line results and prevents fallback resolution to header fields, ensuring accurate XSD output.

Impact: This fix ensures that the XSD output correctly reflects zero line occurrences when no valid line is found, preventing invalid or semantically incorrect XSD output. Users will experience more reliable and accurate data mapping results.

Conversion fails when InvoiceReferencedDocument IssuerAssignedID mapping has no AttachmentBinaryObject#17083

Description: Resolved an issue in the XSD-based conversion of UBL/Peppol CrossIndustryInvoice documents where the system incorrectly attempted to extract an AttachmentBinaryObject for InvoiceReferencedDocument nodes without an associated XML attachment. The conversion logic was updated to correctly handle mappings that do not include embedded PDF or binary content.

Impact: Users can now successfully generate XML output for affected InvoiceReferencedDocument nodes without requiring an embedded PDF or AttachmentBinaryObject. This prevents runtime conversion errors, ensures compliance with the UBL schema, and improves the reliability of the dispatch process.

Test XML Output error when selecting a report in eDocuments Schema#18176

Description: Fixed an issue in eDocuments where ZUGFeRD data was not parsed correctly during test XML generation, preventing successful creation of test XML files.

Impact: Test XML files for ZUGFeRD schemas are now generated and processed correctly, ensuring reliable validation and testing of eDocuments.

Feature license issue#16217

Description: Resolved an issue where users were unable to access the eDocuments E-Post feature despite having a paid and activated license. This fix ensures that all licensed features are now accessible as intended.

Impact: Users can now utilize the eDocuments E-Post feature without any issues, ensuring full functionality of paid and activated features in the Document Dispatch Admin role center. This enhancement improves user experience and system reliability.

Error message shown when cancelling XML output test without selecting a report in Document Dispatch – XSD Schema#15883

Description: Fixed an issue where an error message was displayed when canceling the Test XML Output without selecting a report in the Document Dispatch - XSD Schema.

Impact: Users will no longer encounter an error message when canceling the Test XML Output without selecting a report, improving the user experience and system stability.
