Compliance Setup

The Compliance Setup in Document Central enables the basic configuration of retention labels and policies for automatic document filing (ABS). Additionally, important settings can be configured in the setup, such as access control for retention labels and the activation of the document log to transparently document changes and access.

Access Control Configuration

Function Description
Enable access control Activates role-based access control for documents.
Enable SharePoint permission synchronization Synchronizes SharePoint permissions with Document Central.
Interval between synchronization of user group members Defines how often user groups are synchronized (e.g., every 1 hour).
Last user group member synchronization Indicates the time when the user group members were last synchronized.

Retention Label Configuration

Function Description
Enable retention label Activates the use of retention labels.
Available retention labels Displays the number of available retention labels.
Enable retention label visibility Controls whether users can see retention labels.
Enable manual retention label Allows users to manually assign retention labels.
Retention crawler Automated process for applying retention labels to existing documents.
Run crawler Enables or disables the crawler function for retention labels.
Run on Mondays Schedules the crawler to run on Monday.
Run on Tuesdays Schedules the crawler to run on Tuesday.
Run on Wednesdays Schedules the crawler to run on Wednesday.
Run on Thursdays Schedules the crawler to run on Thursday.
Run on Fridays Schedules the crawler to run on Friday.
Run on Saturdays Schedules the crawler to run on Saturday.
Run on Sundays Schedules the crawler to run on Sunday.
Crawler runtime Defines the time at which the crawler is executed (e.g., 08:00 AM).

Document Log Configuration

Function Description
Enable logging Activates logging of all document-related actions.
Upload documents Logs the uploading of documents.
Download document Logs the downloading of documents.
Document versioning Captures changes to document versions.
Remove document Logs the deletion of documents.
Set retention label Captures the assignment or modification of retention labels.
Add document to document bin Logs the movement of a document to the document bin.
Download document bin Logs the download of the entire document bin.
Restore document version Captures the restoration of a previous version.
Modify document metadata Logs changes to a document's metadata.
Export all documents Captures the export of all documents.
Move document Logs the movement of a document.
Print document Logs the printing of a document.
Create reminder Captures the creation of a reminder for a document.
Stop reminder Captures the removal or stopping of a reminder.
