Setting up Report Attachment
In Document Dispatch, it is possible to attach a report to a Dispatch Profile as an attachment. The attachment will, for example, be added to the email as a PDF file.
Follow these steps to set up a Report Attachment:
- We start in the Document Dispatch - Administrator role.
- Open Dispatch Profiles from the Setup menu in the ribbon bar.
- Select the Dispatch Profile with the Output Type Email where a Report attachment should be configured.
- Navigate to Document Dispatch - Dispatch Profile Attachment.
- Add a new line in the Dispatch Profile Attachment and select the attachment type "Report".
- In the Description field, you can enter internal information to help identify the purpose of the attachment.
- In the Object field, select the report that you want to use as an attachment.
Attachment Options
The Attachment Options page in Document Dispatch allows you to configure detailed settings for a report attachment linked to a Dispatch Profile.
Follow these steps to set up options for a report attachment in Document Dispatch:
- Select the attachment with the Attachment Type set to Report.
- In the ribbon bar, click Options next to Document Dispatch – Dispatch Attachments.
- The Attachment Options page will open.
- In Report Layout, choose either a standard layout or a custom layout.
- In File Caption, select an existing caption or create a new one.
- In the Report Output Type section, select the desired format, such as PDF or PDF/A3.
Setting up a PDF/A-3 report
The following steps need to be completed to set up the PDF/A-3 report.
- Open Dispatch Profiles from the Setup menu in the ribbon bar and execute Dispatch Profiles.
- Select the Dispatch Profile where the PDF/A-3 report should be used.
- Enter the Line Dispatch Profile Attachment and Select a report attachment that should be sent as PDF/A-3.
- Execute the action Options in the ribbon bar to open the report options.
- change the report output type to PDF/A-3.
Setting up PDF/A-3 report with attachments
The following steps need to be completed to set up the PDF/A-3 report with attachments.
- Open Dispatch Profiles from the Setup menu in the ribbon bar and execute Dispatch Profiles.
- Select the Dispatch Profile where the PDF/A-3 report should be used.
- Enter the Line Dispatch Profile Attachment and Select a report attachment that should be sent as PDF/A-3.
- Execute the action Options in the ribbon bar to open the report options.
- Change the report output type to PDF/A-3.
- Go to the PDF/A-3 tab and enter the type of the attachment that should be attached to the PDF/A-3 report.
- Enter the Field Description and click on the 3 dots to open the Object Selection.
- Enter the filename of the attachment that should be attached to the PDF/A-3 report.

When the type XML is selected, All XML Object will be shown in the Object Selection. If the type eDocuments is selected, all eDocuments Schema Objects will be shown in the Object Selection.
