Setting up the QR Code

Configuring the Module

The QR Pay module allows you to integrate modern, user-friendly payment options such as PayPal or mobile banking apps directly into your business documents. By embedding QR codes into invoices or other reports, customers can quickly scan and pay, streamlining the payment process and improving the customer experience.

Setting up QR Pay is simple and flexible, allowing you to tailor it to your specific business needs.

Initial Configuration

To begin configuring QR Pay, navigate to the QR Pay Setup page, where you can define the core settings for how QR codes are generated and linked to your payment methods.

  1. To open the QR Pay module setup, search for "QR Pay" in the Role Center.
  2. Click into an empty line in the table.
  3. In the 'Report ID' column, you can select a specific report. In the predefined configuration, the ID 1306 was selected, which corresponds to the 'Standard Sales - Invoice' report.

  5. Clicking on the three dots gives you access to the 'Fill from Company Setup' action, which automatically fills in the company data.
  6. If the QR Pay Setup page was previously expanded to full screen, this option will be displayed directly without needing to open the three-dot menu.

Payment Methods

QR Pay allows you to choose between two payment methods for your invoices: Banking App and PayPal. Important

In the Report Layouts section, you can use an action to place the QR code directly on a report.
Just select an example report and confirm it. A viewer will open where you can click to set the coordinates.
If the QR code has already been generated via Test QR Code, it will also appear in the viewer.

How to Define the Page where the QR Code should appear

  1. To open the QR Pay module setup, search for "QR Pay" in the Role Center.
  2. Select the setup in which you want to change the position of the QR code by clicking on the three dots.
  3. Click Edit to open the Module Setup Card.
  4. Scroll down and open the tab labeled "Report Layouts".
  5. Select a report by clicking the field under "Report Layout Name".
  6. Enter the Field QR Code Placement and Select either "First Page" or "Last Page".

Important

  • if Last Page is selected, and the report contains only one page, it will be placed on the available page.
  • if Last Page is selected, and the last page is dynamically grown then the placement of the QR Code on the First Page should be considered due to it being possible that the QR Code is blocking important information on the last page.

If you don't have a last page by default, we recommend placing the QR code on the first page in a way that does not obscure any important information or data.
