Getting Started with Document Dispatch

Document Dispatch is an extension for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central that allows you to send your business documents in an automated or triggered process. It is also possible to send notifications with Document Dispatch. You can compile various types of attachments and send them in a personalized style. Document Dispatch supports additional output types such as FTP or web services, in addition to email delivery.

Document Dispatch can be extended with eDocuments to send compliant ZUGFeRD or XRechnung business documents. Document Dispatch is already integrated into the standard process of Business Central and can be easily integrated into other processes or industry solutions.

Trial Version

You can try Document Dispatch for free for 30 days. Simply go to Microsoft AppSource and search for Document Dispatch. Select the appropriate link and then choose Free Trial at the top left. This will install Document Dispatch, which will then be ready for activation and setup with the help of guided setup instructions.

After activation and setup, you can use Document Dispatch in full for free for 30 days. Towards the end of the free trial period, you will be asked if you would like to subscribe to Document Dispatch to continue using it. If you decide to subscribe at any time during the trial period, you can continue your work and use the same data as during the trial.

Use the Document Dispatch Role

Document Dispatch already includes role centers for administrators and users. The administrative role center allows users to configure, extend, or monitor Document Dispatch. The user role center provides users with an overview of their executed business processes with Document Dispatch.

Document Dispatch includes the following roles:

  • Document Dispatch Administrator
  • Document Dispatch User

Document Dispatch is integrated into the user interface and processes of Business Central as seamlessly as possible. For advanced setups or if the operation is confusing, several articles will assist you in setting up or working with Document Dispatch.

You have the opportunity to learn how to work with Document Dispatch through certified partners, online workshops, and how-to videos.

All certified Simova partners are also official Business Central partners, and all have experience with Document Dispatch and Business Central in general. For more information, see Resellers and Partners.

Note: Only partners have access to the Simova Zone. As an end user, you must contact your existing Business Central partner for any questions you cannot answer in Simova Docs.

Looking for Answers

If you have questions about functionality or are unsure about something else in Document Dispatch, you may find the answers you are looking for in the actual user interface of the app. Most fields have a corresponding tooltip that describes the field in question and usually also contains a link to further information.

Ready to Subscribe?

You can subscribe to Document Dispatch at any time to receive the full version of the app permanently and without restrictions. If you wish, you can subscribe immediately and get started right away, but you are also welcome to subscribe at any time during or right after your free trial period. When you start with a trial period, you are already ready to go at the time of subscription and can then continue working with the same data as in the trial.

As mentioned, you must be supported by your Simova partner when activating any version of Document Dispatch to ensure that you can start properly.
