Setting up Processes

A process is a collection of statuses, as not all statuses are applicable to every process within Business Portals. This process can be created and assigned to a specific action. When a specific process such as request, order, etc. is made, the corresponding process will be assigned, containing the relevant statuses for that particular request or order.

Creating a New Process

To create a new process, follow the following steps.

  1. In the Business Portals role center page, click on the Portal Setup in the ribbon bar.
  2. Navigate to the Processes.
  3. Click on the New button to create a new process.
  4. Fill in the Code field with a unique code for the process.
  5. The description field can be filled with a brief description of the process. This field will only be visible to the Business Central user.
