Table
The style type "Table" is used to present data in a structured table view.
General Settings
Follow these steps to assign the style type Table to the dataset:
- Select the desired dataset table in the dataset.
- Click on Web Content on the right and then on Edit to start the configuration.
- Set the type Table in the View Style.
- Choose the column width (Column Span). The maximum width is 12.
- Under column offset (Column Offset), you can define how much space should remain on the left side before the table begins.
- The paging defines how many records should be displayed on the table before a new page is added.
- You can disable the search by activating Disable Search. The search is always active until it is disabled.
Show Details on One Entry
If a filter or selection results in only one entry, it can be displayed directly.
Follow these steps to show the details of an entry:
- Select the desired dataset table in the dataset.
- Click Web Content on the right, then click Edit to start the configuration.
- Set the type to Table in View Style.
- Enable Show details on one entry.
Info
The Show Details on One Entry function is only relevant when there is exactly one entry whose detail view can be displayed. In this case, the entry will open directly without first showing the calendar overview.
Set Background Image
You can add a custom background design to a dataset table to make the presentation visually appealing and better aligned with your corporate design.
Follow these steps to set a background image:
- Select the desired dataset table in the dataset.
- Click on Web Content on the right and then on Edit to start the configuration.
- Set the type Table in the View Style.
- Click on the small rectangular area to upload a background image.
- After the image has been successfully uploaded, you need to update the images in your portal.
- Navigate back to the role center and open the portal overview by clicking on Portal.
- Open the portal by clicking.
- Update the images by performing the action Update Images.
Wizard Style View
The Wizard Style View allows processes to be presented in a step-by-step guide. Each step focuses on a clearly defined part of the overall process and guides the user through the required inputs or decisions in a structured manner.
Follow these steps to display the Wizard Style View:
- Select the desired dataset table in the dataset.
- Click on Web Content on the right and then on Edit to start the configuration.
- Set the type Table in the View Style.
- Activate Wizard Style View.

The steps of the Wizard Style View are configured in the dataset detail layout. Each "Collapse" section corresponds to a single step within the wizard and defines the content displayed to the user in that section.
Setting Up the Table
Read/Unread Settings
The Read/Unread setting is used to manage the read status of records within a table view. This feature allows users to quickly identify whether an entry has already been opened or is still unread.
Follow these steps to display the read status within your table:
- Select the desired dataset table in the dataset.
- Click on Web Content on the right and then on Edit to start the configuration.
- Set the type Table in the View Style.
- Navigate to the Table section.
- Activate the Read/Unread function.
Unread records will now be displayed in your table as bold text.
Export Records
Business Portal offers the ability to export records directly from a table view. This feature facilitates further processing and analysis of data outside the portal.
- Select the desired dataset table in the dataset.
- Click on Web Content on the right and then on Edit to start the configuration.
- Set the type Table in the View Style.
- Navigate to the Table section.
- You can choose from various export options:
- Excel
- CSV
- Copy using the keyboard shortcut CTRL+C
- Activate the desired export option.
- The export option will appear in your portal on the corresponding table as an icon.
Table Styles
In Business Portals, you have the option to customize the appearance of your tables. Using the available options, you can improve readability and clarity and tailor the design to your requirements.
