Setting Up the Upload Action
The Upload action allows users of the portal to provide documents directly within the portal. This feature is particularly useful for quickly and easily transmitting files to the relevant parties without having to use external methods like email.
Info
To use this action, you need both Document Central and Document Central for Portals. While Document Central serves as the central document management system, Document Central for Portals acts as a connector between Document Central and the portal.
To set up the Upload action, follow these steps:

- Open the dataset through the menu by selecting Portal Setup and clicking on Dataset. Alternatively, you can find the Business Portals dataset using the search function.
- An overview of the available datasets will be displayed.
- Select the dataset for which you want to set up an upload.
- Click on Actions in the menu bar of the dataset table.
- Open the drop-down menu by clicking the arrow in the Action Code field.
